Due to the COVID crisis, there were few fellow sign-ups for us to join a full boat. Ryan was kind enough to quote us a good price for renting an... read more entire boat. Because of our ages (70+) and infirmities, Ryan upgraded us to the “El Tigre”, a beautiful 60-foot cat... for the three of us! Ryan picked us up at the Crane Resort and related to us informed history of and stories about Barbados on the drive to and from the Careenage Marina, where his boats are docked.
Captain Larry and First Mate Edmund treated us to a wonderful 5-hour cruise, including snorkeling with sea turtles and three different shipwrecks, an onboard lunch, and brisk sailing along the western Barbados coast. They spoke of the history of the wrecks and of Barbados and showed us where celebrities have homes. It was an exceptionally enjoyable day with the friendly, gracious, and helpful Bajan crew.

All of us enjoyed our time on the boat, even though some... read more of us got a bit sea sick! We all agree everyone was friendly and welcoming. We got to see turtles and plenty of other sea life.
We did get caught in wind and rain on the way back but Edward kept the boat under control and it was actually an amazing experience!
Thank you guys!

Fantastic experience! Edward, our captain/photographer/nature guide/drink server was great! I went on the snorkel tour for my birthday with my two friends and had a blast. I really appreciated that... read more Edward knew everything about the fish we were looking at - pointing out the different species and the history behind the shipwrecks we saw. I've done snorkel tours in Hawaii before where it's only the passengers in the water and you don't always know what you're looking at or feel as safe.
We saw several baby green turtles, three shipwrecks, lots of different kinds of fish, and enjoyed delicious banana bread and rum punch. The catamaran is a good size as well. Lying down on the front of the boat as the waves calmly rolled beneath rivalled going to the spa for a relaxing massage. I think I'd pick this over the spa any day! It was a lovely day/afternoon with just the right amount of refreshments, adventure, and relaxation...and excellent value!

This trip exceeded my expectations. This was a small group of 9 on the trip with our hosts Edward and Trevin who were amazing. Out of the 3 of us... read more In my group I was the only one who actually went in to swim with the turtles but my friends equally enjoyed watching them from the catermaran. We took a short ride to a bay were the turtles were. Edward got us anchored up in a good space. Once in the water it was a magical experience seeing these wonderful creatures swimming up real close to you and also watching sting rays on the sea bed below. Trevin was also in the sea making sure we were all in the best place to get closest to the turtles. After this they sailed us up the west coast where we dropped anchor again to be able to swim over a coral reef and shipwreck. Trevin was there to asssit us again. He made sure that we were ok and assisted me a lot of the time. Again a great experience seeing the reef and many of the fish in this area. Refresments were provided and deliceous coconut cake. Our trip was a 3 hour trip and we were dropped off after the reef swim and picked up from the shore by a van and taken back to our hotel. Others on the trip were out for a 5 hour trip that included lunch but as we were only on a 7 day holiday we opted for the shorter trip so we could fit in other things. I highly recommend this trip with Small Cats, they were friendly, professional and fun from start to finish. This was a highlight of my birthday trip to Barbados.
